HOW WE WILL HELP YOU
Following the discovery call and your confirmation of the Statement of Work, Lisa will ask you to provide essential information which needs to include; your constitution, Board Charter, bios of your Board members and CEO, a one page diagram illustrating the Boards decision making framework (if one exists) example Board papers provided to the Board as well as contact details for key 5 stakeholders.
Lisa will then undertake interviews of the 5 key stakeholders collecting key data and insights on the current decision making processes and top issues based on their experience and will spend working 4 days reviewing the results of the interviews and your input documents.
Following the review Lisa will set up two 2-3 hour video workshop sessions, (providing attendees with some light pre-reading).
Workshop one will be with your key Executive stakeholders to ask questions on where they see their role and that of the Board.
One workshop will be with Board co-creating their ideal operational playing field and decision making framework.
Over the next 5 days Lisa will develop a Board paper outlining risk based observations and recommendations for an improved decision making environment including recommending a new (or enhanced) framework for decision making for the Board’s consideration and approval.
Lisa will present the results of the assessment to your Board and key Executive.
RESULTS & OUTPUT
You will have an enhanced (or new) documented one-page decision-making framework for the Board and Executive.
You will have a defined lines diagram that shows the Board’s functions and that of the Executives, protocols to use for when the defined lines are silent to enable you to update your Board Charter and other key documents.
You will have a risk based report of observations and recommendations to improve governance in your organisation to improve your Board’s effectiveness and increase trust between the Board and Management.
The Board will have a better understand on where they play, how to manage the shades of grey when their governing documents are silent.
Your Executive will better understand the Board’s expectations and where they play including what types of matters need to be escalated to the Board.
You will have a clearer picture of how to effectively make decisions in the organisation including recommendations on processes to enable more agile decision making when the organisation needs to respond and pivot towards new opportunities.
