I’m a senior marketing professional with extensive experience of working on premium brands in both agency and client roles within the UK, Australia and APAC. Having lived and worked in Europe, the Far East, South Africa and Australia, I’ve developed a deep understanding of international cultures and ways of working effectively across borders and multiple time zones.
I began my career with media planning roles at Saatchi group in the UK and was a founding member of Zenith Media when it launched in the late 1980s, working on a number of high-profile accounts as a business director. After three years living in Cape Town and running a township music project with my business partner, I moved back to the UK in 2000 and into a telecoms planning role with Havas Media. In 2004 I moved client side, accepting a challenge to run the direct marketing and dotcom businesses at Bose Corporation in the UK.
After six successful years in the UK, I relocated to Sydney to launch an e-commerce sales division for Bose Australia, eventually rising to become Director of Marketing and Bose Direct for ANZ. For the last five years I have managed consumer marketing for the APAC region, running teams in Australia, Japan, China, SE Asia and India and leading regional agency relationships across creative, media and social. My approach is to drive teamwork and accountability, ensuring that plans are fully realised from initial brief through to strategic vision and execution across all media and customer touch-points.
My background means that I can add significant value in helping to navigate and understand today’s complex digital media landscape and how to best work with agencies as true partners in maximising budgets and advertising effectiveness.
